color composite (multiband imaging)
a digital color image derived from three bands of imagery in which each input band is assigned to red, green, or blue (RGB) —note 1. a color composite is based on additive color theory —note 2. e.g., Landsat™ multispectral sensor (MSS) data bands can be applied to create an RGB additive color composite image similar to color infrared aerial photography by assigning band 7 to red, band 5 to green, and band 4 to blue This definition last updated 10/25/2008
